[size=10pt]Though 4 time zones separate the participants during their work an extensive usage of the internet unites them again. The internet is also the place where the two young producers with a classical music-education met in 2002. They soon noticed their common interest in crispy electronic disco music from the 1980s and a trashy, bizarre sense of humor. A short time later, their first produced track „Tentaculo“, an early experiment with old school electro beats and a funky vocoder, was released on the vinyl sampler "United Nations" on Acknowledgement Records (Paris). Before BLENdbRANK finally met in Germany in 2004, they used the time to produce several new tracks. Nearly all of those tracks were signed by BugEyed Records (Toronto).

The first release on BugEyed, a four-tracker called „Foreign Pleasures EP“, contains the tracks "Synthetic Symphony", and "Metro Kiev". While "Synthetic Symphony" became the opening track for John Acquaviva's "Back to Basics" CD mix and got featured on Nick Warren's "Global Undergound Nr. 28 - Shanghai", the track "Metro Kiev" was used for Donald Glaude's "This is Me" and Steve Lawler's "Lights Out 3" CD mixes.

Then came "Muscles", a 12" maxi single with 4 mixes. The "Power Plug EP" arrived early 2006 with it's main track "Showtime". This track got support from some of the world's leading DJ's and was included on Kontor's Top of the Clubs Vol. 30.

BLENdbRANK finds inspiration in early to mid 80s alternative disco tracks, chicago house and italo disco. It's about acts like Pete Shelley, Devo, Patrick Cowley or Telex. Besides working on BLENdbRANK, the members participate in numerous music projects (Kris Menace, for example), write songs, play at clubs and direct bizarre self-made videos.
