Aparte de q cuenta q es de su vida (estudia aleman, va en bici x Berlin, etc) extraigo algunos parrafos directamente relacionados con la musica:
"What have you been up to in the studio?
Studio wise I’ve been experimenting on some new sounds and new ideas for a possible Plastikman album at the end of the year....
Is anything you’ve done so far ready to play out?
No, there were some early tests late last year that I played out a little bit. I know where I need to go and for me I think I’m too far off to really say there’s something solid for anyone to listen to."
(Esto viniendo de RH.... q humilde... aprendan!!)
"Will you be at Sonar this year?
Definitely. We’re planning a `Narod Niki` show; which is the live improvisational collaboration with Ricardo Villalobos, Zip, myself and a bunch of other people. We can’t really talk about; it’s a surprise what the line-up will be. I’ll be playing on the Friday for ‘Sonar by Night’ and we’ll have a ‘Minus by Day’ and a ‘Minus by Night’ special event on the Sunday, like we did last year. The whole gang is going to be around hanging. Sonar and Barcelona – that 3rd week in June – I think all the calendars in the Minus office already have that blocked out."
(Aaaah BCN + m_nus.... envidio a los q puedan estar alli !!)
"What’s your ideal set-up DJ wise?
Right now unfortunately it’s pretty much the same as it’s been for about 2 years. ... So today, if I’m honest, it’s a Serato set-up with an Ableton computer as well. But I’m looking at moving towards this new ‘Traktor Scratch’ - which is a new combination of ‘Final Scratch’ and ‘Traktor’ from ‘Native Instruments’ – which is imminent, as well some other technologies I’m testing. To be honest, it’s a little bit disappointing..."
"How do you think DJing will evolve technically over the next few years?
One of the most important facts that people harp on these days is that a good DJ has to beat-match. I think beat-matching is going to be one of the next abilities that goes out the windows. I think it’s just coming down now to being more about musical choice and the way things are put together..."
"Do you think DJs have to produce nowadays to make their mark?
I think nowadays, and the way we’re going, I think it helps to understand the production sides of things, because very much now DJing is more about deconstruction and reconstruction rather than over-laying and transitioning."
(Para q discutan los djs...)
