"Niko Fantin brings us the latest chapter of the Frisky Records saga. His contribution is the interestingly titled "Zoofisticated" - nice to create these new words for pieces of music! The release comes in 3 parts, including a Soliquid remix.
Part 1 is a driving progressive track with some cool bubbling melodies. The track builds nicely leading to a drop out with plenty of bleeps and sweeps on show. In fact the drop is quite epic progressive house in its length. Once that element is completed the bassline twists like a F1 car going through a chicane. A neat progressive number to start the EP off.
Part 2 is similar, but is a little more chilled and groove based. That is until it goes down the epic route with a chord filled drop. This part is definitely the highlight of the mix.
Finishing off the EP is the Soliquid remix, this version could perhaps do with a stronger bassdrum, but aside from that the mix is pretty solid. Good use of the atmospheric elements of the previous parts is on show here.
A solid release for Frisky Records is presented here, with Part 1 being the strongest mix on display".
