Line-up Citymoves Deventer & time-tables Zwolle and Leiden announced!
The new free open air-party that has started in 2008 was a big succes from the beginning with great DJ's from all over the world and has become a real concept within one year. Just like last year, in 2009 also only the best DJ's can be found at Citymoves. Amongst many others, Armin van Buuren, Menno de Jong, Richard Durand, Rank 1, Remy and Erick E will be part of the several line-ups that Citymoves has to offer this year.
In 2008 Citymoves got about 125,000 visitors at the squares with famous DJ's like Armin van Buuren, Erick E, Rank 1 and Marco V.
Reason enough to think about expansion. The 7 editions of last year will be expanded with two more cities this year. In 2009, Citymoves will come besides Leiden, Alkmaar, Den Bosch, Enschede, Groningen, Zwolle and Deventer also to Utrecht and Zoetermeer! This city, situated between Den Haag and Rotterdam has with a great eventplace at the Van der Hagenstraat all potention to grow into a topedition.
Citymoves has a very low threshold. It's open for visitors of every age and the friendly character of the event is emphasised by the free entrance at all events! Also this year the facilities are there again to build true minifestivals at all locations.
Citymoves Leiden gets 2nd chance on August the 9th!
For years, Citymoves Leiden is the start of the summerseason. Also this year on Queensday, unfortunately we had to cancel it from the local authorities. Many disappointed (orange coloured) faces and also the organisation and DJ's thought it was, soflty said, too bad when they got the message that the party was cancelled. This wasn't possible, right? No Citymoves Leiden in 2009?? But together with the authorities of Leiden, the organisation has worked very hard to find a date this year to try it one more time. And they did it!
On Sunday the 9th of August, Citymoves Leiden will be better than ever. The Garenmarkt Leiden is going to be completely turned into a minifestival. And what kind of festival! The keycity is know for it's oldest university of The Netherlands, Leidens ontzet on the 2nd and 3rd of October and of course Armin van Buuren! Armin wants to play in his ‘hometown’ so badly. Especially for Citymoves he will play a 4-hour soloset. The Sunday will be filled with 8 hours of the best tracks, played by DJ Elsandro, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano and Armin van Buuren. This edition of Citymoves is unique, that's for sure. New round, new chances!
