Intuition Invites is back! Earlier this year Markus Schulz was the guest of honour, this time Above & Beyond will be flying in from the UK to treat The Netherlands to a spectacular performance. On Saturday the 20th of September ‘Above & Beyond’ will be gracing the decks at Intuition Invites in ‘The Sand’ in Amsterdam.
The trio Above & Beyond was founded in 2000. Producer Tony McGuinness joined Jono Grant and Paavo Siljamäkide, founders of the legendary label Anjunabeats, and the faces behind projects such as Oceanlab, Tranquility Base and POS. After remixes for renowned artists such as Tiësto and Madonna they released their debut album ‘Tri-State’ in 2006. The album rocked the electronic music scene and was praised by the mighty UK based DJ Magazine. Their various accomplishments resulted in a 6th position in the DJ Mag Top 100 of 2007. The icing on the cake though came during 2008’s Winter Music Conference, during which they were awarded ‘Best Underground Dance Track’ for ‘Home’ during the IDMA (International Dance Music Awards). After a 2-year absence from The Netherlands they now return exclusively for Intuition, who will turn The Sand into a spectacular electronic music event on the 20th of September 2008.

Intuition has developed into the number 1 trance promoter in The Netherlands over the past few years. With successful events such as the ‘Intuition Summer Festival’ at Bloomingdale Beach, the ‘Intuition Winter Event’ at Panama Nightclub and ‘Intuition Invites Markus Schulz’ at the legendary Melkweg in Amsterdam the foundation for a revived trance scene has been established. Driving force behind the Intuition brand is Menno de Jong, who will also be present on the 20th of September to tell his musical story behind the decks.

Praised by DJ’s such as Paul van Dyk and Ferry Corsten, Gareth Emery is also well on his way to leave an everlasting imprint on the electronic music scene. His 31st place in the DJ Mag Top 100 of 2007 and an artist album in the making support his welcome presence at Intuition. His sound is a unique blend of House, Trance and Progressive.
The Intuition Deep Stage will cater to an even broader spectrum. Ruben de Ronde will play a fresh combination of Progressive, Electro and Trance, whilst the dynamic duo Fine Taste will use their sublime House and Tech-House beats to complement the Melodic Techno sound of Dutch talent Peter Horrevorts, who performed at Rockit Festival earlier this year.
With the massive headliners ‘Above & Beyond’, mr. Intuition Menno de Jong himself, Gareth Emery, and the finest deep edged talent on the Intuition Deep Stage this promises to be a massive event.
