Aly & Fila: Hi TranceSound people this is Fadi Wassef Naguib aka 'Fila' and Aly Amr Fathalah aka 'Aly'
2. How do You feel about the fact that Egyptean dance music scene is more and more well known due Aly and Fila project ?
Aly & Fila: Well because we were the first to release our stuff abroad, and thanks God we are getting very good feedback day after day, but on the same time there are a lot of Egyptian talents on the way to appear and in different styles.
3. Imagine I am an young songwriter and I have got some material and I want to start getting some exposure. Now You tell me please what are the first steps I should take ?
Aly & Fila: Produce what you believe in, and if it's really good, you well get the recognition by time.
4. Not that any day is ever the same, but what is an average day around Aly & Fila like ?
Aly & Fila: Spending as much time in the studio, working on new tracks or remixes and recording sets.
5. Do You do all the mixing Yourself or separate and then swap it all together ?
Aly & Fila: Depends on the track or the remix, but we swap ideas most of the times.
6. What do You really enjoy about the music You produce or mix and what tends to bring You down ?
Aly & Fila: The melodies and the happy atmosphere it can create
7. What skills, qualifications, education or background do You feel is necessary to make it in this area of entertainment ?
Aly & Fila: You need at least to know music theory, and to get to know well the sequencer you are using as much as you can,
8. When You believe You will ever create an album ?
Aly & Fila: I hope by early 2008
9. I was wondering why songs they played on the "Future sound of Egypt" didn't make it to the album, specifically "Thebes" and "Eye of Horus" ?
Aly & Fila: Hopefully they will be included in the album with brand new versions
10. Who was the most easy to work with, such a Dj or producer, the one You ever worked with ? such as B2B (back to back), remixes or guest mixes ?
Aly & Fila: Dj Amadeus. We just finished with him our first collaboration and it sounds really promising.
11. What really makes You to create such an extraordinary records, as in, what inspires You the most ?
Aly & Fila: Listening to Old Paul van Dyk tracks, Chicane tracks, The Thrillseekers tracks. All these inspire us much.
12. Most of the producers I know, they always dedicate their records to people that know or people that loves, do You guys do the same and to whom You dedicate Your music to ?
Aly & Fila: It's a personal thing
13. Thinking about big clubs names, such as Pacha, Space, El Divino, Ministry of Sound and so on... which was the one You ever had a gig into and what was the feeling ?
Aly & Fila: Played in Pacha club in Sharm El Sheikh and it was really amazing. One of our dreams is to play at Amnesia club in Ibiza.
14. Are You sort of a residents into any clubs in Egypt and which one ?
Aly & Fila: Nope :( no Trance clubs here in Egypt
15. Do You have anything to say to TranceSound.net community, such as a message or a short brief ?
