| The Gallery @ Ministry Of Sound Presents 'The Italian Job' On Friday 8th August The Gallery @ Ministry Of Sound presents ‘The Italian Job’ bringing together a whole host of Italian sights, sounds and spectacles in one club event. With a long tradition of producing greats in a whole range of fields from music to art to football to movies, The Gallery have always found themselves welcoming a whole host of Italian’s and on August 8th they've invites a few of them along to give us a truly Italia Gallery!
Leading the Italian invasion of Gaunt Street is arguably the greatest of them all Mauro Picotto. Mauro is the first and only Italian featured amongst the world’s top ten DJs and his most successful creation, Meganite has seen events held and residencies held all over the world. Besides the acclaimed Ibiza residency, Mauro and Meganite hold events in Miami, London, New York and many more cities in Europe, Asia, Australia and America. Couple this with a rich heritage of massive productions from pretty much every genre whether it be anthems for the trance masses such as Komodo and Lizard, techno crossover records on his Meganite label or typical genre bending tunes Mauro style; he has plied his trade the world over and brings this wealth of experience, tunage and DJing to Ministry!
Quoted in DJ Mag’s “Fantastic 4” feature, tipped as “Breakthru DJ for 2008” by Judge Jules in the Top 100 DJ Mag edition and voted into the Trance Addict Top 250 DJs, Fabio Stein is one of the leading names of the trance scene emerging at present. The São Paulo-based, Italian born tech-trance pioneer was the very first trance producer from his country to release a major hit in Europe. “Tran-4” was heavily supported by many of the world’s top DJs, considered by Judge Jules “the best track of 2006”, featuring on many CD compilations, air played 14 consecutive times on BBC Radio 1 and lead to the start of a huge demand for Fabio’s trademark sound. His European debut was at The Gallery and since then has gone on to appear at the likes of Dance Valley and Judgement Sunday in Ibiza. Taking it up a gear is his forte and will be a welcome addition to this Italia special to do just that!
Albert Vorne, who’s been simmering away for a few years as a serious talent, joins the Box lineup. The man from Milan shot to our attention with his ‘Leaden Day’ track taking trance DJs and clubs by storm. Now signed and heavily involved with M.I.K.E.’s Club Elite imprint and with his album ‘Ravens over my Rave’ about to drop, Albert has become one of those figures synonymous with quality and good taste. A previous studio buddy with Gallery resident Gavyn Mytchel resulting in the track ‘Coincidence’, he’s a welcome figure at The Gallery and a perfect DJ to take the night to the more uplifting end of the spectrum.
Over in The Bar Daniele Davoli will beheadlining. Daniele’s part of clubbing history is long established, not only for his legendary status at Gallery HQ, but for his ace productions under the guise of Blackbox back in the day. Always evolving as a DJ and producer, get ready for another epic outing from the Perfecto hero as he fires up the room alongside fellow Italian stars Francesco Farfa, Claudio Basile and Gabrielle Cutrano. Meanwhile, over in the Baby Box London Insomnia take to the task of keeping you not only staying awake but dancing all night!
This is the first in a series of big nights at the Gallery this August - stay tuned to Trackitdown.net for more news on what's shaping up to be a classic month for clubbing in the capital! |
