Good thing Bigfish never misses an opportunity to shake up your boring night, and on 08/08/08, no less. On August 8, 2008 at Makati’s A-Venue, major UK clubbing brand Godskitchen and Manila’s party masters Bigfish will be bringing in a fresh Scandinavian duo that is currently making huge waves as trailblazers of the worldwide nu-trance revolution: Super 8 and Tab.

Miika Eloranta & Janne Mansnerus, better known as prodigious trance team Super8 & Tab, fuse moving melodies, edgy sounds, and hypnotic vocals to create music that is fresh and innovative, heralding an imminent movement in trance that is bound to conquer dance circles everywhere. Relatively new in the scene, Super 8 and Tab started spinning as a duo only in 2006, but already they’ve got an impressive list of admirers—Paul van Dyk, Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, and Above & Beyond all play Super 8 and Tab’s tracks at their own gigs and radio shows. With such overwhelming superstar backing, who can go wrong?

Super 8 and Tab’s turntable flair has certainly brought them far beyond their humble hometown of Finland. They’ve thrilled discerning UK crowds at superclubs like Ministry of Sound, The Gallery, Passion, and most notably Godskitchen. They host the monthly Anjunabeats Worldwide Radio Show, a program that reaches trance music fanatics all the way across latitudes in the US, Poland, Romania and Turkey. They also entertained a massive international audience in Romania, Holland, Russia, and Germany as headliners of the popular trance fest Anjunabeats Worldwide Tour.

In 2007, Super 8 and Tab broke into DJ Magazine’s annual Top 100 DJs poll, which anyone who knows anything at all about music knows is the be all and end all of dance music greatness. The pair came in at #127, an admirable feat for a new act that hasn’t even released a debut album yet!

"When did trance get this darn good again?" DJ Magazine says of the phenomenal pair. We don’t know either, but boy, are we willing to find out on 08/08/08.
